Peat Sod is pillowy to walk on, it turns a very deep lush green and is best for low to medium trafficked areas. Peat Sod is our most cost effective grass option.

Mineral Sod is typically 2-3 times heavier than a piece of Peat Sod, it is drought resistant and turns a lighter shade of green. Mineral Sod is perfect for heavily trafficked areas, and a beneficial option for families with four-legged family members. Mineral Sod is our mid-range grass option.

Our heavy duty industrial / commercial chain link fence builds uses schedule 40 piping whereas our light inudstrial builds uses a hot dipped galvinized pipe and offers a slightly cheaper price / cost per foot.

By upgrading your fence mesh to a knuckle / barbed wire design, your chain link fencing will offer more ovreall security. Knuckle/barb mesh creates a sharp barbed wire like twist to the ends of the meshing.

Both of these chain link fence terms refer to the type of chemical coat treatment the tubing / pipes undergoes in fabrication. Pre galvanized is immersed quickly in zinc phosphate whereas hot dipped galvinized is left longer in the treatment producing a thicker coating on the fencing materials in question

Total Yard Works offers our commercial chain fencing clients the options of privacy screens. These privacy screens are stetched across the length of the chainlink mesh sections to create semi or full privacy constructions.

We offer a variety of sliding, swining, hanging and custom commercial chain link gate builds. Options such as cantilever and Canadian slide gates also exist in the different types of commercial fence gates.

The differences between these two separate commercial sliding gate options are found in how it opens. Our Canadian slide option works with two separate wheels on the ground where the fence opens in a push / pull direction whereas a cantilever is supported by wheels on rollers in the middle of the fence and has the ability to be automated as a popular upgrade to our commercial gate installations

Total Yard Work’s cantilever gates can be built with or without barbed wire which understandably adds more security by creating more of a deterence to would be thieves or people looking to scale your fence or gain access to the enclosed property.

A commercial cantilever chain link gate is ideal for Winnipeg & Manitoba’s snow filled winter season. Ensuring the wheels the fence rolls on will not be encumbered by snow or ground conditions as compared to a Canadian sliding gate for example.
